What is GSRD?

GSRD stands for Gender, Sexuality and Relationship Diversity. It's an inclusive umbrella term used to describe the wide range of ways people experience gender, sexuality, physical characteristics, intimacy, and relationships. It's the language this conference is built on.

About the conference

GSRD Éire's inaugural conference brings together voices from psychotherapy, psychology, healthcare, sexual health, research, education, community practice and lived experience. This is not a conference owned by one person or organisation. It's brought together by a collective of professionals working across GSRD communities in Ireland and internationally.

Who is it for?

The conference is for therapists, counsellors, psychologists, doctors, nurses, social workers, social care professionals, educators, youth and community workers, students and trainees, as well as others working alongside LGBTQ+ communities.

You do not need to specialise in LGBTQ+ work to attend.

We particularly want the day to create opportunities for people working in different professions and settings to learn from one another — and for professional knowledge to sit alongside community and lived experience.

What to expect

Across multiple streams, we'll explore LGBTQ+ mental health, psychotherapy, neurodivergence, relationships, sex and intimacy, chemsex, shame, belonging, suicide, ageing and endings, intersectionality, social inclusion and much more. You can see the full programme here.

A remote option will be available for anyone who can't travel to Dublin.
